CrocoFocus is an iOS application developed and operated by Luis Aufderhorst ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how CrocoFocus handles information when you use our app and visit this website.

2. Data Processed by CrocoFocus — And Where It Stays

CrocoFocus operates entirely on your device. We do not run servers that receive data from the app. Here is what the app stores and uses locally:

App settings

Your bedtime schedule, bypass timer preferences, and streak data are stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device and is never accessible to us.

Screen Time authorization

CrocoFocus uses Apple's FamilyControls framework to apply Screen Time restrictions. When you first open the app, iOS asks for your permission. The apps you select to block are stored as opaque cryptographic tokens by Apple's framework — we cannot read which specific apps you selected. This is by design: Apple's privacy architecture ensures your app selection remains private even from the developer.

Local notifications

CrocoFocus delivers local notifications on your device (for example, a reminder before your temporary bypass window closes). These are generated entirely on your device. No notification content is sent to any server.

3. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• Your location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or crash reports
• Browsing history or app usage patterns
• Any data for advertising or marketing purposes

4. In-App Purchases

CrocoFocus offers optional in-app purchases (Premium). All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple's App Store via StoreKit. We never receive, see, or store your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs purchase transactions: apple.com/legal/privacy

5. Third-Party Services

CrocoFocus does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only third party involved is Apple Inc., whose system frameworks power core functionality:

• FamilyControls / ManagedSettings — Screen Time management (on-device)
• StoreKit — In-app purchase processing (handled by Apple)
• UserNotifications — Local notification delivery (on-device)

Apple's data practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Security

Because CrocoFocus does not transmit personal data off your device, the security of your data is governed by your device's own security mechanisms — including passcode protection, Face ID / Touch ID, and iOS file encryption. We encourage you to keep your device and iOS version up to date.

Data Deletion: Since all your data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling the app will automatically delete all stored data (bedtime schedules, bypass preferences, streak information). This is the default behavior of iOS — no additional action is needed.

7. Children's Privacy

CrocoFocus does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. As no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is no personal information to manage or delete.

8. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights regarding your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because CrocoFocus does not collect or process personal data on external servers, these rights are satisfied by design. Nonetheless, you may contact us at any time to:

• Request access to any data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Request data portability
• Lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority

Data Deletion Options: There are two ways to delete your data:

• Automatic deletion: Uninstall the app from your device. iOS will automatically delete all associated data stored locally.

9. Supported Languages

CrocoFocus is currently available in German and English. The app's user interface, settings, and notifications are provided in these two languages.
